When Jurassic Park first hit screens it was marvelled at for being a piece of cinematic excellence conducive of realism. Now, Spielberg has real-life competition.

In what was, without doubt, the biggest blunder in the Geekly Update’s history, the birthday of highly valued and most dedicated reader CharlesN52 was overlooked. Regular readers of the site will know that a select body of oh so special readers, who have contributed to and remained loyal to the site since its genesis, receive a special personal thank you on their birthdays. For a reader who last year, expressed his sadness to me personally at having narrowly missed the first instance of this feature, left instead in the realms of the unappreciated for an entire year, the omission was inexcusable. There are no justifiable reasons for this lapse in professionalism, or any words that can aptly portray the shame and disappointment felt within the walls of Geekly Update HQ today.

Happy Birthday FACE, I can only hope that your loyalty remains unfettered and my love reciprocated.

Whatever you have sported as a costume, to whatever event, at whatever age is nothing compared to what this guy created by hand. Your fancy dress game is weak, WEAK!

PAC-MAN was born on 22 May 1980 in Japan. To mark the game’s 30th birthday, Google has replaced their ever-evolving logo with a playable Google-themed game. Simply hit the ‘Insert Coin’ button and play away. If you fancy having a friend join in hit the ‘Insert Coin’ button again and play away with Ms PAC-MAN by your side. Apparently this entire logo was designed by two employees at Google – good work!

I for one can’t wait for people to venture to their local lake en mass and try out their newly acquired Hi-Tec hover slippers. Hoax or Holy Sh*t!?

Last year we brought you the Damien Walters highlight reel. Since then Damien’s film career as a stunt man has taken off landing him roles in both Hell Boy 2 as part of Jackie Chan’s stunt team and most recently as a stunt double in blockbuster film Kick Ass. As expected this new showreel is absolutely incredible.

The Dallas Cowboys literally, and I really do mean literally, blew up the Texas Stadium this week.
