Since Tesco mobile is a joint venture with the UK’s largest mobile phone network, O2, it should probably come as no surprise that the iPhone will soon be making its way to the UK’s largest supermarket. What may come as a slight surprise is that Tesco have announced that they will be selling the iPhone in the UK in time for Christmas. Tesco’s big for global domination continues.

Thats right folks, you heard it here first back in April of this year the Geekly Update commented that sources were indicating that the iPhone would be making its way to Vodafone in the near future. Well now, only 24 hours after Orange revealing it would be selling the iPhone 3G and 3GS at some point later this year, Vodafone too have revealed their intentions.
In early 2010 Vodafone will also be selling the iPhone lineup following the expiry of O2′s exclusivity deal with Apple. Consumers should expect to see a mini price war, long live competition!
