Get a Mac campaign ends, get your montage here

May 23rd, 2010 No comments

It’s official (sort of), Mac and PC are no more. The five year relationship between the try-hard PC and the supportive yet tastefully condescending Mac have been removed from the Apple site and replaced with an altogether more dry advertising campaign explaining why you’ll love a mac. Paying homage to the iconic campaign the OneMoreThingPodcast has put together a brilliant montage of many of the best 30 second gems. Fair well PC (John Hodgman) and Mac (Justin Long) we knew you but for too short a time.

Crysis 2 screenshots

March 4th, 2010 No comments

For my money Crysis still holds the crown for visual fidelity and whilst the gameplay suffered some flaws, on a high end (and I mean high end) PC the visceral prowess of Crytek’s work is unmatched. That was to say until Crytek released screens of upcoming Crysis 2. Not many words can aptly depict the visuals contained herein so I’ll let the images do the talking for me. You can bet your boots these screens weren’t captured on a console though. Read more…

Windows Phone 7 Series: Info, pictures and video

February 15th, 2010 No comments

When a company says they have started from scratch with a new product and built it from the ground up, you can usually imagine that they’re telling little white lies. However, Microsoft, released its new mobile platform, Windows Mobile 7 Series in Barcelona yesterday, and they’ve done just that. Seriously, this platform is entirely unrecognisable as compared to previous iterations of the software. Microsoft has done the unthinkable and started right from scratch. What they have created, so far, looks little short of brilliant. Video and pictures after the break. Read more…

Brink_600

Before this year’s Eurogamer Expo I was extremely excited about the prospect of attending a talk from the CEO of Splash Damage, Paul Wedgwood regarding their upcoming game Brink.
