For my money Crysis still holds the crown for visual fidelity and whilst the gameplay suffered some flaws, on a high end (and I mean high end) PC the visceral prowess of Crytek’s work is unmatched. That was to say until Crytek released screens of upcoming Crysis 2. Not many words can aptly depict the visuals contained herein so I’ll let the images do the talking for me. You can bet your boots these screens weren’t captured on a console though.
