Apple’s dirty little secret is to be revealed in a little under nine hours but this morning, engadget had the scoop of these pictures which would appear to show either a prototype of the Apple Tablet or one bolted to a table.

The device is clearly running a large iPhone app, but we’ve never before seen one run in this resolution on a screen this large with this top navigated interface. If you look closely you will see in the top left corner of  the display a WiFi and cellular network connection which could lend some weight to the rumour of 3G connectivity.

The pictures are a little grainy but a home button akin to that found on the iPhone and iPod touch is clearly visible at the base of the device and if you look closely, what looks like a front facing camera at the top of the unit. Its hard to know for sure due to the quality of the pictures but we can only hope.

As far as speculative images of the as yet unannounced, unofficial and mythical device go, these are the most convincing yet to hit the internet. Either this is the money shot or somewhere, some engineer or photoshop guru deserves a congratulations.
