Beta Version of iPhone SDK with Tablet Simulator for Arrive on 27/1
In the leaky abyss of Apple Tablet-centric information comes another dashing of information that should be taken quite literally with a pinch of salt. The iPhone SDK is used to create applications for the iPhone and apparently soon too for the upcoming Apple Tablet.
Most of the recent rumours leaking online have suggested that the operating system to make its way onto the new device would be an altogether new OS (possibly OS X Clouded Leopard?). If, as suggested the SDK is to be in beta state come 27 January that might well indicate a launch window of, I don’t know, some time in March.
If this is true, it may be that Apple has learnt from previous mistakes and is instead choosing to launching the SDK well in advance of the launch of the product to allow developers adequate time to actually, well… develop for the platform.
