Introducing the Apple Magic Mouse
The Apple store has been down all day, and now its not. Amongst the plethora of revisions to the current lineup of products, Apple has introduced the Magic Mouse a multi-touch iPhone-inspired point and click device.
The Magic Mouse is buttonless and features smooth, consistent touch-sensitive surface. Scroll in any direction with one finger, swipe through web pages and photos with two, and click and double-click anywhere. The new Magic Mouse houses a chip that tells it exactly what you want to do avoiding any confusion you might expect between scrolls and swipes. Additionally the mouse has a supposed four month battery life.
Featuring wireless technology via bluetooth and a laser-tracking sensor, Apple is hoping that the Magic Mouse will aptly replace the Mighty Mouse both at home and in the office. Currently, I shall reserve judgement on this new device. It certainly looks fantastic, like all Apple products, but can its functionality live up to its form-factor? The Mighty Mouse, which it is replacing shipped with a host of functionality issues, here’s hoping that innovation meets expectation.
