Nissan Land Glider
Nissan takes a leap into the future of motoring at the upcoming 2009 Tokyo Motor Show unveiling the Land Glider. Whilst this concept car may seem strange its striking looks are not all it has going for it. It looks beautiful in motion too.
The Land Glider is a two-seat electric powered vehicle which can travel around 100 miles on a single charge. I use the term ‘vehicle’ as opposed to car as the Land Glider has been designed as a form of car-motorcycle hybrid. The design draws upon the best features of both means of transport, innovatively combining the two to create a streamlined experience.
At a glace, the Land Glider may look like a small form-factor car but its unique design allow it to lean into corners much the same as a bike or motorcycle would. In addition, the interior looks like it was taken straight from the cabin of a sci-fi film but manages to present itself elegantly all the same. The dashboard itself is laden with monitors and the dual-joystick steering wheel had me sold at first sight.
