Microsoft Working on Universal Video Capture for Xbox

Anonymous game developer makes a slip-up and reveals what’s in the pipeline for the future of the Xbox 360.
Kotaku reports today that whilst attending this years Tokyo Game Show, in a meeting with a game developer who shall remain nameless for obvious reasons let slip a little gem. Kotaku asked said game developer;
“Are you planning on trying to incorporate in-game video capture into your title” alike that found in Halo 3.
The response elicited can only have been accidental and went a little something like this;
“We’d love to have video capture in our game, but why work on something that the platform holder is already developing”
When asked to comment, Microsoft avoided its usual “Microsoft does not comment on rumour and speculation” and politely danced around the issue with an explanation of how they were consistently looking at ways to expand the user experience and make things more interactive stating also “I am not going to comment on video capture”.
If this is true, and we have good reason to suspect it may well be, this could open up a whole world of abuse and banter from the gaming community. There is no doubt about it that sending your defeated opponent a video of you tea-bagging his splattered head makes for prolific laughter, just think how much fun it would be to share your greatest (or worst) moments with all your friends over Xbox Live.
Bring on the abuse!
