PS3 Slim Hits Retail Early

People cought actually buying PS3s, I don’t think Sony can quite believe it either.
Last week Sony created quite a buzz announcing not only the existence of the PS3 Slim but that it would ship to stores worldwide in the first few weeks of September. As it turns out whilst Sony was making that very statement PS3 Slims were arriving at retailers in the US at least by the truckload.
Kotaku are reporting that a user has sent in this photo displaying his receipt from a Best Buy in the US after having walked in and purchased a PS3 Slim without having the offer the store manager his soul. Further users have also claimed that Gamestop are also selling the console some two weeks earlier than anticipated.
It’s great to see that not only have a company promised and delivered, but done so early. Sony will certainly be happy to find people walking into stores and asking for PS3s. The new form factor is obviously appealing, oh and the price cut probably helped a little too.
