Stingrays, whale sharks and mantas, oh my! – View in HD
The worlds largest aquarium window measuring 8.2m high, 22.5m long and some 60cm think retains a colossal 7,500 tonnes of water. This monstrous fish tank plays home to eighty species of fish and four of the worlds largest fish, the whale shark measuring over 40ft in length and consuming three quarters of a tonne of food every week. In addition the tank houses numerous giant manta rays with a wingspan in excess of 25ft.
Whilst not strictly adhering to the geekly nature of a typical Geekly Update post this is this weeks video of the week. This is without doubt one of the most amazing videos I have ever seen and is somewhere I will certainly aim to visit at some point. The Kuroshio Sea is the worlds second largest aquarium and whilst you may not share my passion for science, nature and in particular marine life, there is absolutely no denying that this is truly incredible.
I urge you to view this in high definition here
