More hints at a price cut and the possibility of a new PS3 model.

A Playstation 3 price cut has been on the cards now for a long time. Many thought it would come at E3 and when it didn’t speculation began as to when Sony might announce one. Sale figures indicate they need one and lets face it for a console of this age not to have seen any reductions is uncommon.

Kotaku reports today that an FYE employee has sent them this snap of a batch of posters they have received today indicating that both console iterations will receive a $100 drop in price. There is no hint of this being a limited time offer or a sale of any kind from the poster and the console is being advertised as a “New Low Price”.

Interestingly the poster also states that this offer is available “While Supplies Last”. Forgive for jumping to conclusions but this would suggest that the Playstation 3 as we know it may be in finite supply. Slim anyone?
