For those without a credit card, buying M$ points has always meant having to trundle down to a retail shop to purchase Xbox money or borrowing one’s parent’s credit card and enduring the inevitable backlash when the bill arrives. Well now, these troubles are over, in the US anyway.

Microsoft has announced that starting today users can purchase points via Paypal on the online marketplace. Users cannot yet use Paypal via the console dashboard but one should imagine this is not too far off. If this new system proves successful in the US expect Paypal point purchases to make their way to the UK and the rest of the world sometime in the near future.

At least it avoids potential credit card charges if you have a debit card linked to your Paypal account.
