Early this morning Microsoft accidentally released the new Gears of War downloadable content which includes the all new map pack alongside the additional campaign content on the Xbox Live Marketplace ahead of it scheduled July 28 release date.

Not only did M$ make this early release boo-boo they also marked the price as 800 MS points, a half price bargain for those lucky enough to score the content before it was promptly removed from both the site and the dashboard. Those lucky enough to scoop the content early and at half price will continue to be able to use the content as if officially released whilst those now wanting to purchase the package will have to wait until the release date and shell out the grand sum of 1600 MS point (ouch!).
