Showcasing the series’ annual graphical improvements Konami has released the first screenshot of Pro Evo 2010 displaying a close-up of Lionel Messi. Showcasing the engine’s new dynamic lighting, the screenshot might make any geek believe even Lionel Messi is attractive… maybe not. It is doubtful we will see this type angle all too often when playing but the graphical improvements will no doubt be a welcomed addition for most fans.

I do however feel obliged to point out that graphics should be the least of Konami’s worries considering the monstrosity that was this years game. In terms of both gameplay and sound (remembering the plethora of sound effects associated with a foot making contact with a ball… not so much) Konami well and truly fell flat on their face this year. Hopefully the clear graphical improvements are a sign of things to come.
